Too often, people blame the unsatisfactory and unhappy conditions of their lives on everything except their own decisions. On god, on friends, on bosses or romantic partners, everyone but themselves. They always have some reason for not looking inward and discovering what has led them to their present circumstances, which is sad because that is the only real way to change and find happiness. This is what I think of when I read this quote.
